Forgot your username or password?

No problem. You can do this by using the following channels:

Nedbank Money app (to retrieve a forgotten password):

• Select Forgot your password.
• Select Reset password.
• Accept the Approve-it message on your cellphone.
• Change your password to one you've not used before and adhere to the displayed criteria.

Online Banking (to retrieve a forgotten username):

• Enter your South African ID or foreign passport number.
• An SMS with you Nedbank ID username will be sent to your registered cellphone number.

Online Banking (to retrieve a forgotten password):

• Enter your username.
• Accept the Approve-it message on your cellphone.

Locked your Nedbank ID?

Simply reset your password! Follow these steps.

• Go to your Money app login screen.
• Select Forgot your password and then tap Reset password.
• You will now receive an Approve-it message. Please read carefully and press 1 to accept it.
• Enter your new password on the What would you like your new Nedbank ID password to be? screen.
• Tap Change password.
• If the change was successful, you will now be able to log in with your new password. 
• For security reasons we may need to confirm your banking information. 

* We recommend that, depending on your phone's capability, you enable your fingerprint or Face ID login or set up a five-digit app PIN to log in in future. You can manage your app PIN, fingerprint or facial recognition logins by going to ‘More’ > ‘Login and security’.

Changing your password

We recommend that you update your Nedbank ID password from time to time. You can do this by using the following channels:

Nedbank Money app

• Log in to the Money app.
• Tap on More.
• Select Login and security.
• Tab on Nedbank ID.
• Select Change password.
• Enter your new password in the Password field.
• Tap on Save new password.

Online Banking

• Log in to Online Banking.
• Click on Settings.
• Click on Security settings.
• Click Nedbank ID.
• Enter your new password in the Password field.
• Click on the Save new password.  

Changing your username

You can also change your username if the need to. You can do this by using the following channels:

Nedbank Money app

• Log in to the Money app.
• Tap on More.
• Select Login and security.
• Tab on Nedbank ID.
• Select Change username. 
• Enter your new username in the New username field.
• Tap on Change username.

Online Banking

• Log in to Online Banking.
• Click on Settings.
• Click on Security settings.
• Click Nedbank ID.
• Enter your new username in the New Nedbank ID username field.
• Click on Change username.  

Resetting your temporary PIN in Nedbank ID

• Go to secured-id.nedbank.co.za.
• If you already have a Nedbank ID, type in your username and password to log in.
• If this is your first time logging in, you will receive an Approve-it message on your cellphone. Select 1 to accept.
• Select Profile management from the navigation bar at the top.
• Select Link a profile.
• Choose Have a temporary PIN? Reset PIN and password.
• Type in your profile number and your new temporary PIN as issued at the branch.
• Click on Next.
• Accept the Approve-it message sent to your cellphone.
• Choose a permanent PIN and a password to complete your profile number, PIN and password.
• Click on Submit.
• Your profile is now linked to your Nedbank ID.
• Use your Nedbank ID username and password to log in to Online Banking, Nedbank Money app and many more secure Nedbank digital channels.
