Nedbank’s infrastructure, Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) and Public Sector team is a multidisciplinary team that recognises the opportunities in African and acknowledges that they are the basis on which a broader developmental plan.
We arrange and underwrite senior, junior and mezzanine finance on a non-recourse/limited-recourse/project finance basis for projects with players across the infrastructure, TMT and public sector industries. This includes junior, senior and mezzanine finance on an on-balance-sheet basis for large corporates across the infrastructure, TMT and public sector industries. We also provide acquisition finance/back-leverage/equity gearing through debt or preference share structures that enable shares acquisition through special purpose vehicles, as well as working capital options such as revolving credit facilities, finance bridging and working capital finance for project companies.
Our experienced and multidisciplinary Johannesburg and London based teams have a strong track record and boast a wide spectrum of expertise. We have an increased focus on designing bespoke financial solutions that allow our clients to achieve and satisfy their goals and targets. We retain an entrenched financial, technical and jurisdictional knowledge in South Africa and Africa as a whole to assess and mitigate key risks and optimise stakeholder returns. And in partnership with our private-equity team, a holistic approach to assisting clients with funding across the entire capital structure, including debt, subordinated/mezzanine debt and equity.
We also provide access to Nedbank Group’s balance sheet to underwrite large finance facilities, whether it be term loans to public entities or project finance facilities on the continent. Also available to your clients, is access to a strong network of international funding partners, including commercial banks, export credit agencies, development finance institutions and multilaterals; as well as in-country expertise and networks across sub-Saharan and eastern Africa through the Nedbank group as well as Ecobank.
