Nedbank is proud to announce that our partnership with the Premier Soccer League in terms of which Nedbank sponsors the Nedbank Cup – South Africa’s premier knockout soccer competition – has been extended for another five-year term running till 2022.

Nedbank’s role as a sponsor is, firstly, to provide a platform for teams and clubs from the South African Football Association ranks to compete with their peers from the National First Division and Premier League. Secondly, it is to provide an opportunity for soccer fans of all ages to come together and share in their passion. This is the only cup competition in the country that addresses football development through the inclusion of professional and amateur teams.

The multipurpose sports court is part of the Nedbank Sport and Education Development Programme launched in 2010 in partnership with The Sports Trust. The multipurpose sports court is the perfect vehicle through which to enhance education through sport for South African youth. Since 2013 Nedbank has donated three state-of-the-art multipurpose sports courts, which accommodate soccer, netball, basketball, volleyball and tennis.
